OPTIMIZATION OF BUSINESS PROCESSES BASED ON DIGITAL SOLUTIONS: TOOLS, METHODS, AND CHALLENGES

The article examines the patterns, drivers, and constraints of the digitalisation of business processes in Ukrainian IT companies in the context of profound transformational shifts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s full-scale military aggression. The study aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of enterprises’ digital maturity, to analyse the tools and technologies of digital transformation, and to develop practical recommendations for enhancing the efficiency, resilience, and competitiveness of business processes.

The methodological approach is based on the systematisation and comparative analysis of scholarly sources, the structural–functional method for identifying sector-specific features of digitalisation, as well as elements of systems analysis used to assess the integration of international quality management and information security standards (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, CMMI). Analytical reports of international organisations, industry associations, and Ukrainian research centres are employed, which ensures a multidimensional analysis and makes it possible to identify factors underlying the uneven digital development among companies of different sizes.

The findings indicate that digitalisation is a key precondition for maintaining the operational resilience of IT companies and enables their adaptation to crisis conditions. It is established that the implementation of cloud services, ERP and CRM systems, RPA solutions, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence technologies significantly increases productivity and reduces the risk of operational disruptions. At the same time, a number of constraining factors have been identified: high investment costs, a shortage of qualified personnel, cyber threats, fragmented digital infrastructure, and an insufficient level of compliance with international process-maturity standards.

The conclusions substantiate that, to accelerate digital transformation, the modernization of technological infrastructure must be combined with the development of human capital, the improvement of the regulatory and legal framework, and the formation of innovation ecosystems. Further research should focus on developing adaptive models of digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as assessing the impact of digital technologies on labor productivity, corporate culture, and business resilience under conditions of uncertainty.

Keywords: digital transformation, IT sector of Ukraine, ERP and CRM systems, robotic process automation (RPA), cybersecurity.
