METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF BUSINESS PROCESSES

The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of digital transformation of business processes, defined by the key role of digital technologies in shaping the modern management architecture, optimizing operational activities, and ensuring the long-term competitiveness of enterprises in the dynamic environment of the global economy. The purpose of the study is to reveal the methodological principles for analyzing digital transformation of business processes and to justify the selection of methods capable of assessing their adaptability and effectiveness. The research methodology is based on systemic, process, institutional, and innovation approaches, which enable a comprehensive consideration of the interrelations between business process structures, their dynamics, and the impact of digital technologies. To achieve this goal, methods of structural-logical analysis, scenario modeling, benchmarking, and risk-oriented approaches were applied. The study substantiates that the combination of methodological principles of systematization, adaptability, multilevelness, and integration forms the foundation for building a comprehensive system for analyzing digital transformation of business processes. The application of these principles makes it possible to investigate transformational changes both at the level of individual operations and at the level of the overall organizational architecture, revealing patterns in changes of structure, functioning logic, time costs, and IT integration. The article proposes summary tables and an original matrix that demonstrates the interrelation between methodological principles and performance characteristics of business processes in the "before" and "after" states of digital change. This provides an instrument for visualization as well as for quantitative and qualitative assessment of transformations. The practical value of the findings lies in the development of a holistic methodology for assessing the digital maturity of enterprises, which not only allows identifying strengths and weaknesses of transformation processes but also ensures the formation of strategic guidelines for improving business model efficiency, strengthening innovation potential, and enhancing the competitive position of enterprises in the digital economy.
